Alex Ball (Ba Hons (1st Class) Music Composition for Professional media)

Alex Ball is a young composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. His credits include: MTV’s ‘Logo’, ‘Palais de Festival’- Cannes 2007, The Child Bereavement Charity, Screen East, as well as sports DVDs; ‘Lanna Trilogy’, ‘Surfing Rules’ and many others.

As a live player, Alex has opened for major acts including Feeder, Massive Attack and My Vitriol. He has also performed in venues all over the UK and in Europe, including headlining slots at the world famous ‘Liverpool Cavern’ and ‘Colston Hall’, Bristol.

With a first class honours degree in Music Composition for Professional Media, Alex has highly specialist training in the art of scoring to picture, as well as an in-depth understanding of modern sampling and synthetic techniques. Furthermore, Alex has also had live orchestral experience and has had original works performed by the Worthing Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and String Ensembles.

If that wasn’t enough- Alex also cowrites and produces with highly succesful writing duo ‘ChickswithHits’ (whos score credits include Hugo Boss, Evian, Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy to name a few).
